Nokia and Warner Music division Atlantic Records UK have announced that rising elctro-pop star, Little Boots (pictured) will be appearing at this year’s Nokia Skate Almighty event.
The collaboration will promote the singer’s album ‘Hands’ and its availability via Nokia’s Comes With Music service and the Nokia Music Store.
Nokia Skate Almighty, which will also feature performances from singers Calvin Harris and The Rakes, is a free outdoor roller disco that will take place at Potter’s Fields, near Tower Bridge in London between August 5 and August 9.
The rink is open to children and families during the day, with the aim of encouraging youngsters to have fin and stay fit on skates. After 6pm each day, only those over the age of 18 will be permitted on the rink.
A joint advertising campaign for Little Boot’s album and Nokia Comes With Music has gone live in the lead up to the event, mainly focusing on London. The spots highlight the availability of the singer’s album via Comes With Music handsets.
Nokia marketing manager Fiona Bosman said: “Little Boots is one of the most exciting music artists in the world right now and Nokia Comes With Music and Skate Almighty provides both digital and physical platforms to showcase her talent. We’re thrilled to be working in partnership with Warner Music and Little Boots in this exciting and innovative cross platform way.”
