Nokia is hosting live webcasts from the Technology, Entertainment and Design (TED) conference being held in Oxford this week.
Nokia has invited representatives from UK technology networks and groups to participate, including Women in Technology, The Tuttle Club, Media Snacker and Young Unltd.
At TED, 50 main presenters will give 18-minute talks over four days. Speakers include personalities such as philosopher Alain de Botton and television personality Stephen Fry.
Nokia has created three live webcast events to provide a forum for discussion across the wider technology community.
Today’s webcast theme is “Women in Technology and Digital Creatives” while tomorrow will focus on “Creative Technologies”. Thursday’s session is titled “Young People in Digital Industry and Social Innovators”.
Nokia UK managing director Mark Loughran (pictured) said: “Nokia’s commitment to drive future technology innovation shares much common ground with TED. We are proud to be the global communications partner for TED and are hugely excited about the opportunity to provide the UK’s wider technology community with a chance to experience TED Global live.”
