The Aastra 67xi range offers features and flexibility in carrier-grade business IP telephones. They have a sleek and elegant design with large screen displays and are fully interoperable with leading IP-telephony platforms.
There are six models within the range, which has been boosted by the addition of the 6730i and 6731i. The entry level-phones are priced at around £75 while the top of the range phones cost around £165. They’re all very different, whether that be screen size, the number of programmable keys on the handsets and the number of lines each one supports, so the choice is vast for the dealer/reseller to sell to their customers.
We sell about 1,000 units a month, making it one of our highest selling products and it is something that uses VoIP technology to make calls across the internet. Telappliant has a wholesale VoIP service for dealers to enable them to make a margin, not just on hardware, but also on call minutes.
These margins tend to be pretty high and the dealer/reseller can make a 25 to 30 per cent margin on selling the Aastra 67xi IP Telephone range, which they are very satisfied with. Polycom has a similar line of handsets but they tend to be more expensive so it will be forced to drop prices to make significant margins. Our products are therefore cheaper than Polycom’s but we hold our prices and are therefore able to make better margins.
If they’re at all troubled or confused by how these products work, they are given the opportunity to try them out and get a feel for them. If they require more help, we’re more than happy to send a representative out to train them.
In terms of add-ons, Aastra has two expansion modules which are designed for receptionists, administrative assistants, call centre agents and executives who need to manage a large volume of calls on a regular basis. The 67xi series expansion modules provide an intelligent choice for all enterprise IP environments.
