O2 has added three new partners to its Accelerator Programme, an exclusive club for application developers.
It brings Accelerator Programme membership to 25. All developers agree to join the club, which promises marketing and sales support, on the proviso they will develop solutions for O2’s channels exclusively.
The three new additions are Intuition, London Web and Zenprise.
Intuition’s Mobile Learning is an e-learning platform that allows businesses to issue training courses to staff via smartphones. It works with RIM BlackBerry, Apple iPhone and Windows Mobile smartphone devices.
Businesses can deliver information, courses, surveys, assessments, podcasts and video content to staff devices, and can monitor course progress.
O2 is to offer the platform to fixed and mobile customers across Europe.
London Web’s mobility solutions include NotifySync and NotifyLink. NotifySync allows BlackBerry devices to synchronse securely with any email platform supporting ActiveSync protocols. It incorprates a wipe function that allows data to be eliminated in case of theft.
NotifyLink Enterprise Server provides Device Management, real-time synchronised email from a range of corporate email platforms, to and from iPhone, Symbian, Palm, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices.
Zenprise MobileManager is a mobile management solution for enterprise customers. It allows clients to monitor BlackBerry devices – service plans, BES, client access licenses and software management.
O2 said the various partnerships enable it to offer customers and resellers a differentiated solution in the smartphone space.
O2 business applications manager Ilona McMullan said: “From email to complex business processes, partners accepted into the programme provide our customers with business critical solutions allowing them to save time, money and resource.

The Accelerator Programme was launched in 2004 and selects companies based upon financial, technological, marketing and customer assessments. Once accepted, O2 provides partners with sales, marketing and technical support, along with access to a range of enterprise customers.
