Handset distributor 20:20 Mobile has had a “positive” response from its partners regarding sales of new Acer smartphones and accessories.
20:20 announced it would be an official distributor for Acer in June, during its Premier Partner launch, and would be launching a number of handsets including the DX900, F900, M900 and the X960 from July 1.
20:20 has now confirmed sales of the new products have been a success, being sold through small independents, corporate and two of its largest independent dealers, Outsourcery (formerly Genesis) and Welcomm Communications.
20:20 sales director Steve Sanghera (pictured) said: “I am delighted with the initial sales of the Acer products – it’s always challenging for any new manufacturer in the UK mobile market place.
“The Acer brand is one of the most prominent names within technology and I believe it will become a robust name within the corporate telecoms segment.”
Outsourcery purchasing manager Jeff Hardie added: “We see a massive opportunity with Acer smartphones. The Acer brand is industry renowned and the mobiles are an ideal product to support our Windows Mobile offering and CRM integration solution.”
Welcomm managing director Aiden Piper added: “Acer handsets at 20:20 are competitively priced Windows Mobile smartphones with advanced functionalities and based on that criteria we have selected Acer as our primary Windows Mobile operating proposition.”
