VoIP and international calling provider Truphone has appointed a new UK consumer sales director.
Jeremy Gill will take on the newly created role and is tasked with developing and building sales channels for Truphone Local Anywhere, a SIM card that offers local-rate calls for various countries.
Gill has mobile experience spanning 10 years and has previously worked for O2, Vodafone and Lebara Mobile as sales manager.
Gill will recruit a team to develop partnerships with stockists including airlines, travel agents, mobile dealers, as well as online shops.
Once partners have been developed, the team will support channel partners for the of Truphone Local Anywhere, slated for launch in early 2010.
