LG has announced the GW300 handset, the latest addition to its social networking range.
The GW300 comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, 2.4-inch landscape display and a five-way navigational pad designed for easier browsing.
It also comes with a designated Facebook appication, providing quick access to the social networking site and also contains LiveSquare, which allows a user’s favourite contacts to show up on the home screen as avatars. This means that when a friend sends a message to them, their avatar will immediately let them know. Other features include 4GB of expandable memory, Bluetooth, FM radio and 3.5mm headphone jack.
LG Mobile UK and Ireland head of marketing Jeremy Newing said: “The new LG GW300 maintains LG’s dedication to bringing innovative social networking handsets to the market as they increasingly become the central communication point for avid social network users.”
The GW300 will be available from O2 in blue and from Orange in red. Pricing and release dates will be announced in due course.
