Get Connected has said it is now unlikely that it will hit its target of having 70 shops open by the end of the year.
The Welsh-based retailer recently opened its 60th store in Swansea and has five more leases waiting to be signed off. It has also moved its Carmarthen store into the town’s shopping centre.
However managing director Damian Cole (pictured) said delays in opening shops will most likely mean it falls short of its target.
“The Swansea store has taken a week longer to open because the shop fitting has overrun slightly,” he said. “All these delays mount up and the shop openings have slowed down. We’ll definitely have 65 stores open by the end of the year.”
