LG has added to its touchscreen portfolio with the addition of the GD510, also known as “Pop”.

The phone, which is encased in brushed aluminium casing, comes with a 3-inch WQVGA full touchscreen. A single button is used on the interface which functions as the menu, end and cancel keys, with a thin strip of light around the button shining either green or red indicating the handset’s function. Other features include a 3-megapixel camera and MP3 player.

LG Mobile UK and Ireland head of marketing Jeremy Newing said: “The LG GD510 is a new addition to LG’s touchscreen portfolio following successful handsets such as the LG Cookie (KP500), selling more than seven million units worldwide since its launch earlier this year. With the LG GD510, LG is applying its tried and tested strategy to another new model – this time, a more compact full touchscreen handset with simple and essential features.”

The handset will be available in the UK from November at The Carphone Warehouse, with more carriers to follow.
