Ethnic MVNO Lycamobile is to be stocked by supermarket Sainsbury’s after it finalised the distribution deal this week.

The prepay SIM cards will be available in over 180 of its stores nationally, and will be featured on telecoms and electronics gondolas, broadening its reach to the end user.

During the first two weeks of the distribution deal, Lycamobile will launch a sampling campaign in the car parks of 10 stores.

Lycamobile marketing director Rob Beswick said: “We are delighted to work with Sainsbury’s and with their network of more than 150 retailers, consumers will have even greater access to convenient places where they can purchase a SIM card and top-up their credit.”
