Acer has launched its first Qualcomm Snapdragon and Android-powered device, the Liquid.
The Liquid is a high definition smartphone with Android’s 1.6 system.
The new user interface provides access to entertainment and web bookmarks and sports an optimized five-megapixel camera with geo-tagging, self-timer and accelerated auto-focus performance.
The Liquid also comes with the Spinlets application which allows free streaming of music and videos.
The handset is the first to combine the fast Snapdragon processor with an Android operating system. Currently the Windows phone Toshiba TG01 and upcoming HTC HD2 embed the same processor.
Pricing and launch date are to be confirmed.
