Garlands Call Centres is recruiting 50 customer sales staff to work on the company’s growing 3 account at its South Shields call centre.
The expansion would take the total number of Garlands’ personnel at South Shields working on 3 to around 80.
The new roles will be at outbound sales advisor, sales coach and team manager levels. Garlands said it is looking for individuals with previous face-to-face sales, telephone sales and sales management experience.
The company said successful candidates will receive a competitive salary, comprehensive training and development, and opportunities to progress their careers.
Garlands was one of just three call centres to escape being axed during 3’s call centre cull in August. It forms part of 3’s new Promoters Approved programme to work closely with selected telesales partners.
Garlands said its 3 business had grown rapidly as a result of 3’s move.
Garlands Call Centres chief executive Chey Garland said: “We’re delighted to announce this expansion. We have already built a strong relationship with 3 and have invested heavily in quality and training to ensure that we meet and exceed the targets we’ve been set, and build for the future.”
3 business development manager Kerry Howells added: “We’ve been very pleased with the speed at which Garlands set up the operation and with the commitment the company has shown towards delivering great results.
