O2 has boosted its in-house media sales team with the appointment of four new members of senior staff.

The appointments come as O2’s new Media division opens its O2 Top-up Surprises reward scheme to external brands, giving them a new channel through which to reach O2’s 10 million prepay customers
The O2 Media sales team was formed this year as a new business unit within O2, under the guise of head of sales, Shan Henderson. The four newly appointed members of staff are for senior sales positions, focusing on promoting unified marketing opportunites across O2’s online, mobile and retail channels.
O2 said this would be the first of a series of appointments as the team continues to expand.
Head of O2 Media Shaun Gregory (pictured) said: “These new channels offer a unique way to reach an engaged audience with true relevancy.
“O2 Media was created to provide a truly personalised media business and innovative solutions that really cut through an increasingly crowded market.”
Launched in November 2008, Top-up Surprises rewards O2 prepay customers every time they top up. Surprises range from extra texts, picture messages and minutes through to prizes such as holidays, TVs and mobile phones.
