Get Connected has set itself a target of having 100 stores open by the end of next year after announcing plans to have a further eight open by February 2010.
The Welsh-based retailer will be opening two new stores in Cardiff as well as outlets in Bridgnorth, Newport, Llandudno, Flint, Mold and Oswestry. It is also relocating its Carmarthen store in the next week and its Abergavenny outlet in the next month, both to more central locations. The new additions will take Get Connected’s shop portfolio to 70 outlets.
Get Connected managing director Damian Cole (pictured) said: “We’re looking to open one of these stores every two weeks and are currently looking to recruit between 15 and 20 staff to fill these new positions.
“We should have 70 stores by the end of January and our next target is to continue our expansion and push on to 100 stores by the end of next year.”
