Distributor Comm Sense has teamed up with epay to offer SIM card packs through the electronic payment solutions company’s retail network.
Outlets from epay will receive a free introductory SIM card pack consisting of 50 prepay SIM card packs. There will be five SIM cards for each of the 10 mobile networks and ethnic MVNOs that Comm Sense supplies – O2, Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, 3, Virgin Mobile, Lebara Mobile, Lyca Mobile, Nomi Mobile and Talk Mobile.
In-store consumers can choose to connect to any of the networks and pay over the counter. A guide contained within the pack also shows the consumer how to activate the SIM card on the handset. The SIM packs cost between 99p and £2.99.
Retailers can earn upto £6 per SIM card pack sold when the SIM is activated. Each one is also sent euro clip-strips, which are used to hang the SIM packs on, window stickers, an A3 poster and a comparator chart that provides features and benefits of all the SIMs.
Comm Sense managing director Barry Moore (pictured) said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with epay to assist its retailers in expanding revenues and offer consumers an alternative destination to meet their ever changing mobile needs.”
Epay sales director Tim Allen said: “The epay and Comm Sense partnership offers epay’s network of national and independent retailers the profit from a new source of income, as well as enhancing existing mobile top ups. The Comm Sense free introductory SIM card pack provides a complete entry kit to any retailer wishing to grow their product portfolio and drive more footfall into their stores where consumers can change their mobile network and top-up their mobile in just one visit.”
