Sony Ericsson has released new software updates for its Satio and Aino handsets, which it said will repair previous software issues on the devices.
The handset manufacturer’s two most recent high-profile releases have been plagued by a range of software problems but added that the new updates will increase usability for consumers.
A statement from Sony Ericsson read: “Sony Ericsson UK and Ireland is pleased to confirm that new software is now available for both Satio and Aino via www.sonyericsson.com/update.
“This will allow consumers who have already purchased the devices to easily update their handset and benefit from improved handset speeds and battery usage. We can confirm this updated software has been approved by UK operators and fixes previous software issues.”
Sony Ericsson has also announced that in line with the new software releases, the Satio is now being resold at Phones 4U in its stores and online.
Phones 4U trading director Scott Hooton said: “Phones 4U is pleased to confirm that all Sony Ericsson stock has been flashed with new software and recommenced trading on Saturday December 4. Sales of the Satio were strong over the weekend and we’re confident that the device will continue to perform strongly throughout the Christmas trading period.”
