O2 has taken hold of 37 per cent of the SME market and has extended its corporate market share “considerably”, helped by its Argos account win.
This year, 14 B2B dealers have broken relationships with other networks to work exclusively with O2. O2 business sales director Ben Dowd expects the number to increase further next year.
O2 is currently working with 100 channel partners to sell on its Joined Up fixed mobile convergence solution, and it is understood that it will be offering the solution to consumers early next year.
Dowd said: “Even during the recession we have managed to grow our business base considerably.
“Our Centre of Excellence partners are as important to O2 as the direct sales force. The channel will continue to be a huge part of the business going forward.
“Fixed line connections are growing significantly as more and more corporate customers are disliking BT’s offers and moving to other providers.”
