Hosted IT helps SMEs in snow

The bad weather in the UK has shown SME businesses that hosted solutions can help them communicate remotely, claims hosted IT and communications provider Outsourcery.

During unforeseen weather conditions, businesses can benefit from hosted solutions that remove the need to meet customers face-to-face.

Outsourcery product strategy and development director Mark Seemann said offering such products and services would benefit resellers who would gain additional revenues.

Seemann said: “The recent bad weather shows that small businesses can not always rely upon employees being able to meet face-to-face.

“With large numbers of employees having to work away from the office in the harsh weather conditions, businesses are finding that they need more effective ways to stay in touch with their colleagues and clients. Unified Communications lets businesses of any size communicate and collaborate more efficiently.

“The current cold snap will only further underline how important being able to connect with your colleagues whenever and wherever they are means an increase in productivity company-wide.”
