The Plantronics Voyager PRO Bluetooth headset has won the iF product design award 2010 in the telecommunications category.
The product came out on top following 2,500 entries from 39 different nations for this year’s award.
The Voyager PRO comes with noise cancelling and wind noise reduction technology. It features a dual microphone, next generation digital sound processing (DSP) technology, aimed at precisely capturing the user’s voice and simultaneously cancelling background noise. It also features three layers of WindSmart technology to minimise wind noise.
The iF product design award has served as an internationally recognised trademark for outstanding design for 56 years. The iF brand has offices in Hanover, Munich, Taipei, Seoul and Curitiba/Paraná.
Plantronics Mobile Division EMEA marketing manager Stuart Bradshaw said: “We designed the Voyager PRO to be perfectly balanced so that it is seemingly weightless yet very stable when worn and also extremely discreet as most of the physical volume of the product is concealed behind the ear. Combined with the industry’s best audio technology and extended battery life, Voyager PRO breaks new ground in what users should expect from a headset.”
