Daisy Communications boss Matthew Riley is plotting further acquisitions in the fragmented reseller community to drive consolidation.
Daisy told Mobile News it will strengthen its customer base and acquire smaller resellers that are struggling in the tough economic climate. Daisy said it would consider purchasing mobile and fixed line resellers.
In July last year, Daisy purchased AT Communications and Eurotel for a combined £20 million, followed by purchase of Redstone’s fixed and mobile units in September for £17 million.
Meanwhile, Daisy hosted a day for young entrepreneurs at its Lancashire offices. The event was run with careers advisory business In 2 Enterprise.
College students were shown how to market and sell a mobile phone.
Daisy product and marketing director Stuart Cordingley said: “We are keen to support enterprise initiatives in our community. Students benefit from seeing how a successful business operates. The group showed bags of enthusiasm.”
