LG has announced the Mini (GD880), which it claims is the smallest and slimmest full touchscreen phone on the market.
The Mini comes with a 3.2-inch display with textured metal accents on the sides of the handsets. Social networks such as Facebook and Twitter are easily available through built-in applications and a Social Network Feed provides instant access and automatic updates of friends and family members on the home screen. Updates also appear next to each contact in the Social Address Book.
Other features include a 5-megapixel camera with face detection, HSDPA connectivity at 7.2 Mbps, A-GPS and Wi-Fi.
LG Electronics Mobile Communications president and CEO Dr. Skott Ahn said: “We developed the LG Mini in response to specific requests from actual customers who were unhappy with the current full touchscreen phones that are too bulky, too clunky and too expensive. The easily pocketable LG mini delivers great looks at a reasonable price, with the trendy features that people want.”
The LG Mini will be available in the UK in April with price and full specs to be confirmed nearer the time.
