Anthony Catterson has been appointed new chief executive at online retailer eXpansys, owned by Phones International boss Peter Jones.
Catterson replaces Roger Butterworth, who has departed after 10 years at the company.
Catterson previously held managing director positions at Carphone Warehouse between 2006 to 2008, Micro-P between 2003 and 2005 and Phones 4U between 2001 and 2004.
Catterson claims to have increased margin per employee by 20 per cent and support productivity by 30 per cent, whilst also reducing store admin by 40 per cent.
At Micro-P, he claims to have strengthened the management team and established a business development unit for new margin streams. He was at Phones 4U as it grew from a chain with 78 stores to one with 338.
