Phones 4U will launch exclusive music content on the Nokia X6 16GB when the handset goes on sale on February 24.
The X6 16GB will come preloaded with an exclusive app from online music community b@TV, a website that delivers content streamed from music clubs, DJ sets, dance festivals and lifestly venues globally. Users will be able to watch this footage on the handset.
Users of the app will be able to plug in their handset to a television for a club-like atmosphere, as well as being able to take advantage of pre-recorded sessions available from over 250 artists, with up to 30 new sets added weekly.
The partnership will be the first commercial agreement for b@TV and will only be available on the X6 and exclusive for Phones 4U customers.
Phones 4U marketing director Russell Braterman said: “As mobile specialists, Phones 4u has a particular focus on the youth market. We celebrate individuality and this exclusive partnership with Nokia and b@TV allows us to offer a cutting-edge music phone for passionate music fans.”
Nokia head of trade and consumer marketing John Nichols said: “We continue to explore new innovative ways to bring the best mobile experiences to consumers- providing them with instant access to their passions and interests on the move. The Nokia X6 and Phones4U are the perfect launch platform for b@TV mobile, which is sure to influence the listening habits of dance music fans.”
