Vodafone has appointed T-Mobile UK chief marketing officer Srini Gopalan as its new consumer director, responsible for Vodafone’s retail estate and broader consumer proposition.
He replaces Ian Shepherd, who exited the business last week by mutual consent.
Vodafone UK chief Guy Laurence said: “Srini brings a wealth of knowledge around delivering great value to new and existing customers by driving effective marketing campaigns which increase market share.
“His experience in improving business performance in competitive industries will have a positive impact for both our customers and our business.”
Gopalan was chief marketing officer at T-Mobile UK for eight months. Prior to T-Mobile, he was UK managing director of credit-card issuer Capital One, part of Capital One Group. He spent the early part of his career with Unilever and Accenture in India.
