Samsung has launched its latest fashion handset, the Diva (S7070). The release is in conjunction of its sponsorship of modelling competition Elite Model Look UK 2010.
The phone has gone on sale at The Carphone Warehouse and O2. Carphone is offering a limited number of cream-to-powder finish foundations and portable kits of mini concealers from make-up brand benefit; while O2 is offering the first 8,000 customers a free 12-month subscription from iSUBSCRIBE and a copy of fashion story ‘The September Issue’ on DVD.
The Diva features a white embossed quilted back cover with a diamond-shaped crystal button on the front. Social networking sites including Facebook and MySpace are fully integrated, whilst instant notifications are sent when friends update their profiles.
It also comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera preloaded with a Beauty Shot mode to let users alter snaps. Lomo Effect turns regular photos into artistic looking images to share with friends. Other features include a 2.8-inch touchscreen and 40MB of internal memory that can be expanded to up to 8GB with a microSD card.
Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland vice president Mark Mitchinson said: “Samsung Diva is the first mobile phone we have launched directly targeting young females. We know they want mobiles that are exceptionally stylish, but they also need the latest technology and practical features and our Samsung Diva won’t disappoint.”
