BlackBerry partner Scancom has struck a deal with US mobile satellite navigation company TeleNav to run its European portal.

Scancom built TeleNavShop.co.uk, runs it and set up the recurring billing engine in-house. The site automatically distributes Sat Nav licence codes to TeleNav’s European customers, who are charged £4.99 a month for the code to run the TeleNav software on their handset.

Scancom managing director Chen Kotecha said: “It’s great to see a big player like RIM recognise the specialist skills we have in mobile data. We’ve built and deployed the whole programme with a short timeframe and it’s continuing to grow.”
