3 has struck a deal with retailer John Lewis to sell its products through its high street and online sales channels.
From Saturday (March 13) 3 will be selling a number of its products, including prepay handsets and SIM cards through John Lewis in 22 of its retail stores.
3’s “off the shelf” ready to use mobile broadband dongles, including its new MiFi device, which allows multiple users to get online, will be available in 29 of its stores.
All products are expected to be available through the John Lewis website also.
3 claims it will be the first operator to sell mobile broadband products through John Lewis and has confirmed its staff have been trained to sell mobile.
3 UK’s sales director Amanda Lambert said: “We are delighted that 3’s products are going on sale in John Lewis stores. 3 is all about offering people innovative ways to stay in touch coupled with great value prices – and we feel this is something that should appeal to John Lewis’ customers too.”
John Lewis head of consumer electronics Simon Moore said: “The new 3 products are great for our customers who have increasingly mobile lifestyles and need to keep in touch on the go.”
