Distributor Data Select has announced a partnership with memory card manufacturer SanDisk.
Data Select made the announcement at the end of February during its eighth Platinum Club event in Stratford-on-Avon, attended by 60 dealers.
SanDisk, which manufactures every major flash card format, including both microSD and microSDH memory card ranges, hopes the deal will help ‘broaden’ its mobile retail coverage. Details on which retailers will stock the cards have not been announced. Data Select confirmed its independent channel partners will be able to order stock.
Data Select chief executive George McPherson (pictured) said: “We are delighted to partner SanDisk and believe their leading range of memory products will strengthen our accessories proposition and offer great value to our clients within the channel”.
SanDisk’s regional sales director Keith Norman said: “By partnering with one of the UK’s leading distributors of mobile phones and accessories, SanDisk hopes to further improve its channel infrastructure in the UK and leverage Data Select’s skills and services to broaden SanDisk’s mobile retail coverage. We see Data Select as a key piece of the jigsaw in helping SanDisk to grow in these difficult times.”
