Kondor has appointed Antony Madden as a dedicated OEM product manager.
Madden, formally of Carphone Warehouse, comes in to assist current OEM product manager Rob Bryant. Madden’s appointment comes following the recent recruitment of Marco Astesiano and Dan Cann as trade sales advisors.
Kondor commercial director Michael Bartlett said: “We’re pleased to have Antony on board to help manage the strong demand at Kondor for OEM products. With the additional personnel, we feel we can give these partners and their products the attention they deserve.”
The company has also launched a new range of laptop and PC accessories. Brands such as Belkin, Griffin, Samsung, Pleomax and Vodafone have signed with Kondor to complement the laptop bag ranges of Golla, Port Designs, Isis Dei and Trendz.
According to a recent European Commission’s Digital Competitiveness report, broadband penetration now stands at 28.4 per cent, tripling since 2004 (10.4 per cent). It also found that 86 per cent of European homes have internet connectivity while over 87 per cent of enterprises have broadband internet access.
IT product specialist Karl Adams said: “It’s a competitive market out there and Kondor has answered the call to help mobile retailers branch out to the lucrative PC accessories market. These products are of exceptional quality, yet still offer good margin opportunities for resellers. We fully understand this market and can help our customers diversify and launch new ranges successfully.”
