Virgin Media has strengthened its Android range with the addition of the Samsung Galaxy Portal. It will also sell the HTC Desire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 from next month.
The additions follow the launch of another Android handset, the LG InTouch Max, last month. This and the Galaxy Portal (pictured) are available fom free on a £22 a month tariff, offering 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited mobile internet.
The HTC Desire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be available from Virgin next month. Tariff details for these handsets are yet to be announced.
Virgin said: “With these new high-end data-enabled smartphones, Virgin Media customers will now be able to enjoy some of the best of the mobile web, all neatly brought together by Google’s Android operating system. From Twitter to navigation, music to mobile video, there’s an Android handset for every taste on Virgin Media this spring, with extra special benefits for existing customers of Virgin Media’s home services.”
