Opal Telecom, the fixed line B2B division of Carphone Warehouse’s TalkTalk, has launched a new SME package, claiming to undercut BT by 40 per cent. Opal Office Complete provides SME customers with broadband, mobile and fixed line for £55 per month.

It includes 24Mbps broadband which runs off Opal’s Next Generation Network, free line rental with unlimited calls with an 0800 number, free web builder and a BlackBerry 8520 with 300 inclusive minutes.

Office Complete is currently available direct, but Opal said it plans to open it up to the channel. Opal is also offering its Office Broadband proposition to home workers for £10 per month with free line installation.

Opal Telecom managing director Paul Lawton (pictured) said: “There are on average 390 new businesses setting up each week. Investing in new communication infrastructure can be higely expensive, not to mention time-consuming, especially if IT and telecoms is not a core area of expertise for the business owner.

“But it is an absolute neccessity; business-grade communications are essential to move forward, grow and ultimaterly prosper as a business.

“That is where our business start-up package comes in. It provides a low-cost and feature-rich solution meaning that a hugfe cost outlay as well as hours spent sourcing separate suppliers is not an issue. This leaves more capital to be invested back into the business, and more time for owner-managers to concentrate on core tasks.”
