The UK’s first Android 2.0 mobile, the Motorola Milestone is now available on the high street after selling out within hours with the online retailer eXpansys. The Milestone is available from £30 per month on a 24-month contract with Orange and T-Mobile or from £40 per month on Vodafone. It comes with a slideout QWERTY keyboard, 3.7-inch screen, 5-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi. On prepay, the Alcatel OT708 is a bargain touchscreen at £19.95 down from £29.95. It has a 2.4-inch screen, digital camera, Bluetooth and mobile internet and is available on all major networks.
Phones 4U’s deal of the week sees the BlackBerry Bold 9700 available with £10 knocked o ff the price plan each month, when purchased online.
It’s available on Orange on a 24-month £30 per month with 1,200 minutes and 3,000 texts. The Bold 9700 has a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS and up to 16GB memory. RIM’s second touchscreen smartphone, the Storm2 (9520) is available on T-Mobile for £35 per month on a 24-month deal. The deal comes with 600 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited data, while the phone sports RIM’s SurePress touchscreen technology, a 3.2-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi. BlackBerry lovers can get six months free mobile internet with the Curve 8520. The handset is priced at £149.99 and is new to prepay on T-Mobile. It comes with 30 days free text messages.
O2 has the new Sony Ericsson Vivaz available in an exclusive blue colour. It’s available free from £35 per month on an 18-month contract with 600 minutes, unlimited texts and a choice of unlimited on-net minutes, landline calls or a web bolt on. The Vivaz has a 8.1-megapixel camera with auto focus, full HD touchscreen and Wi-Fi.
The first tablet with mobile connectivity, the Nokia N900 is free on a £40 24-month tariff. It comes with 1,200 minutes and unlimited texts, or, is purchased online, customer receive an extra 300 minutes free. The N900 has a five-megapixel camera, 32GB memory and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. On prepay, the Vodafone 533 is a steal at £20 and is available in a variety of colours. It has a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and FM radio.
