Vodafone and Orange scooped the Mobile News Awards 2010 with three trophies each.
Vodafone won Environmental Enterprise (Vodafone Foundation: World of Difference), Convergent Solution (Vodafone One) and Best Network.
Orange’s gongs were for Innovative Service (Orange Social Life) and Best Retailer, and Orange chief executive Tom Alexander received the first Mobile News Lifetime Achievement Award.
HTC overpowered Samsung, LG and RIM to win the Best Manufacturer vote.
O2 was given the Industry Advance Award by the Mobile News editorial team for its ‘Joined Up’ service, which addresses corporate customers, SMEs and single-person operations.
Awards for distributors went to Data Select (Handset Distributor), 20:20 Moble (Accessories Distributor) and Mainline Digital Communications (Airtime Distributor).
The Awards were presented at a lavish black-tie dinner-dance at The London Hilton on Park Lane on Thursday night (March 18), attended by more than 850 mobile industry guests and hosted by the UK’s hottest comedy star Michael McIntyre.
