20:20 Mobile is recruiting for 20 new roles in business development, IT, marketing and customer support.
The handset distributor made 40 staff redundant in October and a further 60 in January last year following the merger of its 20:20 Logistics, Dextra and Caudwell Logistics units in late 2008. It said at the time most affected staff took voluntary redundancy.
A spokesman said: “20:20 Mobile had a period of restructuring that has driven improvements to our customer offering and performance. We are recruiting for 20 staff, and have no plans for redundancies in other parts of the business.”
Meanwhile, 20:20 Mobile head of marketing and propositions Richard Jones has left the business. Jones entered the business prior to the re-brand in 2006 as Dextra channel marketing manager. He leaves to join a business abroad. 20:20 Mobile has not recruited a replacement for his role.
