Vehicle tracking service provider Crystal Ball has sealed a distribution deal with MoCo to supply its portfolio of web-based tracking solutions to its dealer base.
MoCo will distribute Crystal Ball products from April. Crystal Ball’s latest Vigilo product is aimed at customers wanting to track high value assets such as trailers, JCB diggers, cranes and tractors.
The Vigilo tracking device comes with a merlin 800 GPS system that is waterproof to one metre, and also dustproof. It also has a lithium ion polymer battery that can last up to three years without recharging, but which recharges in use.
Vigilo is available on a purchase, lease and short-term rental. Crystal Ball sales director Andy Smith said: “Asset tracking is a huge opportunity for resellers. We have a number of resellers who are enjoying success by leading with tracking products and cross-selling their existing range.
“We’re giving dealers up to £185 per unit for asset tracking, so there is massive potential. All dealers have to do is to sell the product. There are no stock requirements and all installations are managed by Crystal Ball. There is no chance of clawback of commission.”
MoCo managing director Ian Robinson (pictured) said of the partnership: “Crystal Ball already has a notable presence in the marketplace and offers a fully comprehensive support package to its dealer community. Our dealers will benefit from this growth market.”
