Nokia has new marketing head

Nokia has promoted John Nichols to head of marketing and Go To Market for its UK and Ireland operations.

Nichols joined Nokia 15 months ago to run its channel marketing and he now replaces Will Harris, who has become Nokia SEAP head of marketing. Nichols’ new role means he will oversee all aspects of marketing, customer marketing, Go To Market and will report to Nokia UK and Ireland managing director Mark Loughran.

He previously worked in retail marketing at Woolworths Group, Sainsburys and Oddbins.

Nichols said: “It’s an exciting time to be leading Nokia’s marketing plan and consumer engagement in the UK. We have a great line-up of consumer activity ahead this year with Ovi Maps, multi big brand partnership apps coming to the Ovi Store and a number of great new devices hitting the market.”
