Outsoucery has widened its product portfolio with the launch of a new unified communications product set.
The company’s new cloud portfolio consists of Office Communicator, UC Connect, Hosted IP PBX and Hosted IP PBX Overlay.
Office Communicator allows businesses to see where staff are at a certain time. It enters an Outlook calendar and sets a coloured dot to show availability. PCs are also monitored by keyboard and mouse activity so that staff can determine which employees are available.
UC Connect is designed to provide high-quality broadband connectivity to customers and take advantage of the need for staff to work from multiple sites or at home. It prioritises applications such as voice and video calls or business email based on business requirements, so all inherent UC features are delivered.
Hosted IP PBX delivers the same functionality as a traditional PBX such as extension dialling and call divert but delivers it via cloud technologies. It’s aimed at new SMEs looking to avoid up-front investment and ongoing maintenance costs associated with purchasing a traditional phone system.
Hosted IP PBX Overlay enables businesses to keep their existing phone system and benefit from full UC functionality. Outsourcery said this provides a low cost upgrade path for those that wish to gain the benefits associated with UC, but don’t wish to invest in more costly traditional solutions.
Outsourcery product strategy and development director Mark Seemann said: “Using the most popular platforms, Outsourcery’s hybrid cloud products have been designed to bring the benefits of UC to the masses and becuase the tchnology is provided as a service, as opposed to being bought as an up-front investment, it changes the business model from a capital expenditure (CAPEX) to operational expenditure (OPEX), which is proving hugely attractive in these cash strapped times.”
