Interested iPad owners looking to get their hands on Apple’s latest device in the UK on May 28 can now order a SIM card for it. Orange is also offering a promotion whereby customers get £10 of free credit that goes towards their iPad plan or bundle.

There are four plans available – ‘iPad daily’ gives 200MB of data for £2 a day, ‘iPad weekly’ gives 1GB of data for £7.50 a week, ‘iPad monthly 15’ gives 3GB of data and unlimited BT Openzone Wi-Fi access for £15 a month and ‘iPad monthly 25’ gives 10GB of data and unlimited BT Openzone Wi-Fi access for £25 a month.

Orange is also offering the Motorola Dext half price at £149 with a £10 top-up. The Android-based Dext comes with the manufacturer’s Motoblur user interface and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.


World Cup fever has hit O2. It is now offering England mobile phone cases, covered in a St. George’s flag, for £15. They are only compatible with the Apple iPhone and BlackBerry Curve 8520 so far though.

The HTC Smart, which comes with a 2.8-inch screen and HTC Sense interface, is now available in white for free on a £15 a month deal. This comes with 50 minutes and unlimited texts for the month. Bolt-ons, which consist of unlimited web access, unlimited O2-to-O2 and unlimited landline calls, start from price plans at £30 a month.

O2 is also promoting the ‘first phone available for £10 on prepay, the LG GB102.


The Nokia 5230 and Samsung Monte are both available for free on £10 a month contracts. Customers get 100 minutes and 500 texts per month on a 24-month contract.

The 5230 offers a full touchscreen, two-megapixel camera, access to up to 10 email accounts and a ‘contact bar’ giving them access to 20 friends. The Monte comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera, built-in GPS and comes preloaded with Facebook and MySpace applications. 


The Google Nexus One has landed at Phones 4U. Customers can pick up the device on a £35 a month Vodafone deal over 24-months offering 600 minutes, 3,000 texts and 1GB of mobile internet browsing.

The retailer’s ‘Deal of the Week’ sees the Samsung Tocco Lite come with a free PS3 Slim 250GB when purchased on a Dolphin £30 contract over 24-months, giving users 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile internet. The Tocco Lite comes with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, 3.2-megapixel camera with smile detection, three-inch full touchscreen and Shazam Music Finder facility.


The Nokia E63 black is being offered for free over a 24-month period with a ‘free internet for £10 a month’ tag headlining the offer. Users will have to sign up to an Internet Talker 100 tariff offering a mix of 100 minutes and texts.

Users also get unlimited 3-to-3 calls, two months free access to Spotify and a number of other freebies – a prepay SIM for a friend, Skype-to-Skype calls, Windows Live Messenger chats and Twitter.

The Samsung Galaxy Portal is now available for free on a £20 a month Internet Text and Talker plan over 24-months.
