Phonebox Communications could double its new business team to 40 by 2011 as it aims continue its aggressive pursuit of the small business market.
The target comes after the internal promotion of Gary Ray, who previously ran its web sales team but has taken on the role of business development manager. Phonebox has now brought in nine new recruits into its sales team in the past year, bringing the total up to 20 members.
The Solihull-based B2B dealer said that its planned growth coincides with it more than doubling the new business sales it achieved in the whole of last year alone and with connections having quadrupled compared to this time last year.
Phonebox sales director Oliver Rowe said: “Our business team is continuing to grow, with our web sales showing particular acceleration in the past months. It’s part of our plan to attack the SOHO and SME market. We’ll take people with the relevant skills when opportunities arise. But 10-20 new faces would be ideal.”
