Avenir Telecom and airtime partner O2 have held a second joint dealer event designed to help partners win business on a deal by deal basis.
The ‘Match of the Day’ themed Dealer Clinic event, held at Wembley Stadium, allowed selected Avenir dealers to discuss business opportunities directly with Avenir and O2 which require additional support.
O2 and Avenir senior exectives, including Avenir managing director Andy Tow, listended to each request privately, ranging from simple advice and guidane to additional financial and marketing support and made their decisions based on the opportunity.
Avenir and O2 held a similar event in October at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium which saw, based on agreed support to complete deals, more than £500,000 of additional commission being earned by dealers.
Avenir managing director Andy Tow said: “We’re very pleased with how this event has turned out.
“This is an exciting new approach to joint sales and marketing in the telecoms sector. We sat and listened to our dealers, worked with them on their plans right there and then, and they got started on their projects as soon as they walked out the door.
“At the end of 2008, the channel was becoming increasingly weary of 1980s-style, cash-mad sales incentives. By the end of 2009, Avenir had moved things forward with the launch of our highly successful ‘Deal Clinic’, the success of which we’ve now replicated with ‘Match of the Day’.”
