Nokia has opened a temporary ‘pop up’ store on Grafton Street, in Dublin.
The two-floor store is open for eight weeks until July 10 to give consumers advice on the best Nokia phone for them, with Ovi services to compliment handsets and lifestyles.

The store is divided into zones of experience. The ‘Social Media Zone’ promotes mobile social networking with touchscreen phones. The ‘Pimp My Mobile’ zone is staffed by experts to answer queries about how to fill a handset with innovative applications and features.

The ‘Navigation Zone’ details the capabilities of Nokia’s free Ovi Maps. The ‘Nokia Presents’ stage area allows the firm some celebrity endorsement, and the public some free entertainment from, acts in the music, comedy, fashion and film industries. Free Wi-Fi is also available for visitors.

Nokia Ireland general manager Alan O’Hara said: “Unlike other retail areas, this is not a traditional ‘sales’ store. It’s importance is in giving Nokia users a full understanding of how to get the very best from their phone, while having fun doing it. The interactive theme and layout of the space is specifically created to ensure those visiting will feel welcomed and not overwhelmed by lots of technological jargon.”
