Merger of UK Orange and T-Mobile operations starts today, with new appointments in products and purchasing
The UK merger of Orange and T-Mobile has been made official, with both firm’s UK staff, which total 16,500, now employed by Everything Everywhere Limited, the joint venture brand.
Also, the company has confirmed the appointments of Neil Macgeorge as vice president of products, Simon Frumkin as vice president of procurement and supply chain, and Stephen Harris as chief of staff to company chief executive Tom Alexander.
The appointments follow the announcement of the company vice president tier in May.
The integration of the two network operations begins with rebranding of various company items, such as business cards and email addresses. The Orange and T-Mobile brands will, however, be retained for services.
Everything Everywhere chief Tom Alexander said: “The formal integration of our new company, Everything Everywhere Limited, is another major milestone and reflects the rapid progress we have made over the past nine months.
“Today we have created the country’s biggest communications company, and as the new leader in the industry, it is our aspiration to give our customers instant access to the world around them, to everything everywhere, through both of our brands, Orange and T-Mobile.”
