Percentage of smartphones sold by Three doubles in six months, with further growth with the iPhone 4
Three UK chief executive Kevin Russell said today the operator would make available the Apple iPhone 4 by the end of July.
Russell said that 40 per cent of handsets sold by Three in January were smartphones, and that it expected that figure to reach 80 per cent this month.
Russell said: “It’s all about data. Not having the iPhone means you are working with one hand behind your back. Strategically at Three, it’s a very positive step forward.”
