Airtime distributor Avenir offers £10,000 incentive to dealers to switch their O2 and Orange bases, detecting uncertainty among some over Daisy’s purchase of rival firm
Distributor Avenir Telecom is offering new dealers up to £10,000 if they take an account with them before the end of July, a move perceived to be a direct challenge to Daisy Communications, whose stable now includes both Anglia Telecom and Fone Logistics.
Avenir will reward new dealers £5,000 when they reach 50 new connections on O2, and £5,000 when they connect 100 on Orange.
It is also targeting Three sales, and held a dealer event at its Borehamwood head office last week.
Avenir said it wants double-digit growth in its dealer base this year, as it has achieved the past two years. Managing director Andy Tow (pictured) saod: “We’re hungry for new business and new partners and we are prepared to share our purchasing power.”
The financial incentive on O2 and Orange sales has forced a number of Fone Logistics dealers, connecting predominantly O2 and uncertain of Fone Logistics’s new ownership, to consider switching to Avenir, they told Mobile News.
