Fonehouse starts RIM incentive


Fonehouse has introduced two incentives for franchise partners following the launch of its first manufacturer scheme last month.

‘BlackBerry VIP’ runs until August 31 and sees partners gain one point for every BlackBerry handset they sell, and five for every 9105 Pearl 3G  (pictured) specifically. The four partners with most points will receive a day on a 55-foot yacht sailing the Solent, with lunch in a sheltered anchorage off the Isle of Wight and overnight accommodation for themselves and a guest each.

Last month, Fonehouse launched its first manufacturer incentive for partners in conjunction with Samsung.

The incentive worked on a points system, where partners gained a point for every Samsung handset sold, and five for every Wave and Galaxy S handset. The three partners that had the most points by close of play on June 30 have won a trip to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone on July 11.

The retailer is running a Vodafone incentive to celebrate the launch of ‘Vodafone VIP’, the network’s new loyalty programme. To July 31, partners will gain one entry into both monthly and weekly prize draws for every Vodafone connection they make.

Two winners will be drawn at random at the end of the incentive, winning VIP tickets to the Leeds or Reading Festivals.

Partners will be drawn at random to win weekly rewards, with the first being a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes shirt signed by Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.

Fonehouse is also running an incentive with HTC. If a partner buys five Wildfire handsets they will receive a free one, which they can use as a demo handset for customers in-store.

Fonehouse commercial director Dan Schama said: “These incentives are a bit of fun for our partners and gives something back to them. The rewards are extremely good and what better reason is there to sell more phones?”
