HSC to offer SIM-free BlackBerry Pearl 3G to dealers, supported by marketing package and exchange programme

HSC has said it will be the first distributor to launch a SIM-free version of the BlackBerry Pearl 3G into the dealer community.

The phone will be accompanied by exclusive marketing packs for dealers including point-of-sale and merchandise packs which HSC said are designed to allow dealers to increase sales of the BlackBerry Pearl 3G to business and consumer customers.

Active HSC dealers can order the SIM-free BlackBerry Pearl 3G from August 2 for £235 excluding VAT.

The first 140 stockists to order the BlackBerry Pearl 3G SIM-free through HSC will also receive an exclusive launch pack. The pack has been produced for HSC by RIM UK and contains a cardboard cut out counter stand, A4 and A3 posters, note pads, DL leaflets, spec sheets, t-shirt and sweets.

HSC is also offering dealers a 48-hour faulty exchange programme on handsets.

HSC sales manager Carlos Pestana said: “HSC and RIM are constantly working together to raise the profile and support available for BlackBerry devices to the independent channel.

“We want HSC to stand out in the market as the number one BlackBerry distributor in the UK channel. You’re really going to see HSC raise its game with BlackBerry over the next few months.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for our dealers to sell BlackBerry devices.”
