Retailer partnering with Vodafone to enter the small business market and also opens app store
Fonehouse will enter the lower end of the business market on October 1 by partnering with Vodafone on a scheme for its new and existing franchise members.
The programme will give Fonehouse franchise partners the opportunity to sell Vodafone business packages with 1-10 handset deals to local businesses.
Fonehouse is working with T-Mobile too and anticipates selling Orange business deals down the line.
Fonehouse, which has recently moved to a bigger head office on the New Kings Road in West London, will look to bring in four new staffers to a newly created business division – one manager, two in dealer support and one in the field.
Managing director Clive Bayley said: “We’re getting the blocks in place. By January we’ll be in position to accelerate this.”
Meanwhile, Fonehouse has launched its own-branded mobile application store in conjunction with service provider Retalika, Mobile News understands. There are currently nine free applications available to customers to download, and a range of others in development. The Fonehouse App Store includes Facebook, Twitter and BBC apps. Handsets will be loaded with the App Store screen by staff on sale.
