Network expected to outline plans for its direct and indirect dealer channels next week
Vodafone will outline details of its channel restructure at dealer events on September 20-21.
The meeting is expected to see Vodafone enterprise director Peter Kelly (pictured) and SME director Rob Shardlow outline its plans to merge its direct and indirect dealer channels. Its rebranded Yes Telecom unit, Vodafone Partner Services (VPS), is also expected to be confirmed.
In addition, dealers will be instructed on new dealer banding and structure.
Vodafone currently has an elite group of ‘premier’ dealer partners, which connect customers ‘directly’ with it, and another elite band of ‘strategic’ partners connecting via the Yes Telecom/VPS subsidiary. Secondary and tertiary tiers also run in parallel.
Dealers have been issued with new contracts which need to be signed in order for them to be admitted to the new tiers. The move will include notice for changes regarding revenue share, which is expected to be gradually introduced and launched widespread when it completes its next financial year in April.
