Charles Dunstone sells 10 per cent of his stake in Carphone Warehouse and raises £35.4 million
Carphone Warehouse chairman Charles Dunstone has raised more than £35 million by selling 15 million of his shares in Carphone Warehouse.
Dunstone sold the shares for 236 pence each, netting him £35.4 million. Dunstone now holds just over 133 million shares in Carphone Warehouse, equating to 29.12 per cent of the company.
A spokesperson said Dunstone has raised the capital for personal reasons and noted he has other interests outside Carphone Warehouse.
Carphone Warehouse’s shares are currently (midday, September 20) trading one per cent down on the closing price on September 17, when the share sale was announced.
