Commercial director promoted to CCO at in-flight communications specialist
In-flight communications equipment manufacturer AeroMobile has appointed Adla Worobec (pictured) as chief commercial officer, succeeding Peter Tuggey.
Tuggey has moved to become European managing director of aviation and maritime medical and security services provider MedAire.
Worobec was AeroMobile’s commercial director. She will report to chief executive officer Pål Bjørdal.
Worobec joined AeroMobile in February 2009 from Thus plc, the Scottish-based Cable & Wireless subsidiary. She had previously worked for Connexion By Boeing as director of wireless channels in the EMEA region.
Bjørdal said: “Adla’s background in both aviation and telecoms will be a real asset for us as we move the company on to its next phase.
“We’re sad to be losing Peter to a role that represents a great career move for him, but he leaves on a high with our very best wishes. He’s played a key role in ensuring that 2010 has been our best year yet for customer wins with five major airlines.”
